Farewell

I am in awe at how fast this year has gone by. I guess time REALLY does go by when you are having fun! With all the fun I had, the fondest memories of my reign are the ones where I had the opportunity to meet the most courageous and inspiring people. Words cannot describe how being Mrs. New Hampshire has changed my life.
There are so many that I need to thank for making my year what it was. First and foremost, my Mr. New Hampshire, my husband Jeff: Where do I begin? Thank you for being the unofficial Mrs. New Hampshire chauffeur, photographer, videographer and body guard. I know that when you said “I do” five years ago that those responsibilities were not part of the deal! You are world’s most amazing husband and I could not ask for more. I love you Jeff. Happy 5th Anniversary!
Thank you Mom and Dad for driving all over the state of New Hampshire to come to my appearances. That means so much to me. Everything I have accomplished I owe to the both of you. To my sister, brother-in-law and my nephew, thank you for sharing your sister and auntie with so many others. Now we have more free time to get ready for the Red Sox draft in 20 years, watch out Varitek!!
Shamus, thank you for the countless hours spent prepping me for nationals. I couldn’t have done it with out you. I will always be your little “snowflake”. Maggie, your encouraging phone calls at nationals comforted me when I was unsure of myself. Thank you for your dedication and commitment to the Mrs. New Hampshire pageant. The rest of the country better watch out, you will make New Hampshire a force that cannot be reckoned with!
To my Mrs. America sisters, especially Heather, Jill, Steph, Brielle, Brenda, Juile, Diane and my roommate Patty: there are not many people that can put up with my antics for 16 days straight. You all truly deserve your crowns!! I absolutely adore you. Maria, Michelle and the staff at The Crowning Touch, thank you for helping me choose the perfect wardrobe for Mrs. America. You made me feel like a princess!!
Finally to Mrs. New Hampshire 2007: Welcome to the sisterhood! My only advice is to take in every moment given to you. It will be all too soon that you will be placing that beautiful crown on the head of another deserving woman.

Thanks for the ride New Hampshire, it’s been a BLAST!

Miss Granite State/Miss Merrimack Valley pageant

Jeff and I attended the Miss Granite State/Miss Merrimack Valley pageant on Sunday, February 25th at the Concord City Auditorium. The pageant (which is run by Mrs. NH 2004, Stephanie Mills) was the last preliminary for the Miss New Hampshire Scholarship program for the 06-07 season. We came to cheer on Ashley May White, who I helped prepare for the pageant. She tore up that stage and placed 1st RUNNER UP! We are so proud of you Ashley!

Heart Health Fashion Show, Concord, NH

February is "National Heart Month" to bring awareness to the dangers of heart disease. It is a common misconception that heart disease only effects men but it is THE leading killer for women in the United States.
Mrs. Maine, Heather Clark, invited me to participate in the Heart Health Fashion Show at the Steeplegate Mall in Concord, NH on February 24th. We modeling the latest fashions from J. Jill, Charlotte Russe, JC Penney and Lane Bryant. I had a blast and it made me so happy to spend time with Mrs. Maine, she is an amazing woman.

WERZ Bridal Showcase 2007

On January 14, 2007 WERZ 107.1 hosted their annual bridal show at the Whittemore center at UNH. Again, my sister and I were honored to model for Occasions Bridal and Tuxedo of Portsmouth, NH. The most special part of the day was sharing it with our flower girl model, Emma. Emma is battling a diagnosis of cancer. Her grandmother told us that her dream was to be a flower girl and Ashley of Occasions Bridal granted her wish. Emma is an amazing little girl.

I LOVE this dress, it was by far my favorite out of all the dresses I modeled.

My sister, Ellen. She is so beautiful!

WBYY Bridal Extravaganza 2007

On January 7, 2007 WBYY hosted the 1st Annual Bridal Extravaganza at The New England Center at UNH. I had a great time modeling bridal attire for Bella Intimates of Rye, NH and Occasions Bridal and Tuxedos of Portsmouth, NH. Thank you Ashley and Destiny, you two are very special!

Like a true girlie-girl, I was on cloud nine in these beautiful gowns.

Nope, that's not me, it is my drop dead gorgeous SISTER, Ellen. Sharing this day with her made it all the more special.

Thank you to my husband Jeff for missing the Patriots game to attend the fashion show. I am very lucky!

Dover Local Firefighters 1312 held a soup cook-off to benefit the Lt. Christopher R. DeWolf Scholarship Fund at Cartelli's Bar & Grill on December 5, 2006. Lt. Christopher R. DeWolf was a Firefighter/Paramedic with the city of Dover for 17 years before becoming a Lieutenant in Newington for 6 months. Lt. I had a yummy time tasting all soups! Here I am with one of the winners.

Caring and Sharing Canned Food Drive 2006

On a brisk November 4th, I had the chance to hang with the gang from Soft Rock 98.7 The Bay and WTSN 1270 to raise canned goods and funds for New Hampshire's largest canned food drive.

Can you believe they actually let me behind the wheel? Thank you for trusting me not to drive off Dover Firefighters!

Ian and I chatting on the radio, Why is his crown bigger than mine???

Fall Harvest Festival, Sandown, NH

There's no place like home! I had a wonderful time making an appearance at the Fall Harvest Festival in Sandown, NH. My parents moved us to Sandown when I was 6 years old and they have been there ever since! It was great to see familiar faces, I even ran into my childhood best friend!
